Christmas Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. ripe cukes, diced, or large green cukes (remove seeds and skin before measuring)
    1 large red sweet pepper
    1 large onion
    water
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    1/2 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Cook 45 minutes or until transparent.
    Pack and seal in sterile jars.
