Orange Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. oleo or butter, softened
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
2 Tbsp. grated orange rind
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. milk
1/4 c. orange juice
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. almond extract
Preparation

Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed with an electric beater until light and fluffy (4 to 5 minutes). Sift flour, cream of tartar, baking powder and salt together.
Add dry mixture alternately with milk and orange juice, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
Mix just to blend after each addition.
Stir in orange rind and flavorings.
Pour into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
Bake 1 hour and 25 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted comes out clean.
Cool cake in pan.
Remove cake from pan to a wire rack and cool completely.
