Jello Buttermilk Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. orange Jell-O
    1 large can crushed pineapple
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 large apple, shredded
    1 large Cool Whip (12 oz.)
    1 c. chopped nuts, toasted (optional)
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Heat pineapple and juice, sugar and Jell-O together to melt Jell-O; let cool and add buttermilk and stir well and refrigerate until thick.
    Stir in Cool Whip, nuts and shredded apple. Refrigerate.
