Wheat Chex Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. Wheat Chex cereal
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 oz. cake yeast
    1 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. water
    4 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Mix Wheat Chex, salt, sugar and shortening.
    Heat milk in 1/4 cup water.
    Bring to boiling.
    Pour over mixture.
    Stir and let cool until lukewarm.
    Dissolve yeast in remaining 1/4 cup water (lukewarm).
    Stir into cooled mixture.
    Add flour, 1 cup at a time.
    Mix after each cup.
    Knead until smooth and elastic.
    Set in warm place to rise until double in size.
    Punch down and rise again.
    Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
    Makes 2 loaves.
