Ingredients

1 lb. Italian sausage
1 lb. hot bulk sausage
1 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
1 Tbsp. whole oregano
1 Tbsp. fennel seed
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 lb. American cheese, cut into small cubes
1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
3 (8 oz.) loaves party rye bread
Preparation

Crumble Italian sausage in large skillet.
Add hot sausage, onion and pepper.
Cook until meat is done.
Drain well on paper towels.
Return meat mixture to skillet.
Add seasonings.
Heat on low heat.
Stir in cheese until melted.
Remove from heat.
Spread a scant tablespoon on each bread slice.
Place on lightly greased baking sheets.
Bake at 425\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes 10 dozen.
