Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. flour
1/3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
pinch of salt
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. shortening
2 eggs
3 c. sliced apples
1/2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Preparation

Cream the sugar and shortening.
Add the eggs and mix good. Add the dry ingredients.
Add the sliced apples and sprinkle the lemon juice over the apples.
Add the cinnamon and the nutmeg. Pour into 8 x 8-inch pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
