Taco Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 deep dish frozen pie shell
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tomato, chopped
1 (16 oz.) can refried beans
2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1 small bag tortilla chips, crushed
shredded lettuce
1 lb. ground beef
1 pkg. taco seasoning
1 (8 oz.) jar taco sauce
Preparation

Preheat oven and cookie sheet to 400\u00b0.
Thaw pie crust 10 minutes.
Prick bottom and sides with a fork.
Bake pie shell for 10 minutes.
Reduce oven to 350\u00b0.
Cook ground beef and onion until meat is browned.
Drain excess fat.
Add taco seasoning to meat.
In small mixing bowl, combine beans and 1/3 cup taco sauce; mix well.
Layer 1/2 of refried bean mixture in bottom of pie crust.
Top with 1/2 of meat, 1 cup cheese and chips.
Repeat, excluding chips.
Bake on cookie sheet for 20 to 25 minutes; remove.
Top with lettuce, tomato and additional sauce.
Serves 4 to 6.
