Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    3 eggs
    1 c. applesauce
    1 c. canned peaches, mashed
    1 lb. mixed candied fruits
    1/2 lb. glazed cherries, cut in halves
    1 1/2 c. English walnuts, broken
    1 c. raisins
    3 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Bake in 2 angel food pans, 1 1/4 hours in 300\u00b0 oven.
    I have mine at 250\u00b0.
    Sometimes I divide the dough in 3 bread pans.
    Put wax paper in pan first and dough next.
