Pineapple Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. melted oleo
    4 pineapple slices
    4 cherries
    1 1/4 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. double acting baking powder
    1 egg, unbeaten
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 c. shortening
Preparation
    Prepare 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan or one 9-inch round pan by greasing with shortening.
    Spread brown sugar and oleo.
    Arrange pineapple slices in bottom of pan.
    Place cherries in the centers of pineapple.
    Beat other ingredients 3 minutes at 150 strokes.
    Pour batter over fruit.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
