Icebox Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk, scalded
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    flour
Preparation
    Stir milk, sugar and shortening until dissolved. Cool.
    Add yeast dissolved in water and enough flour to make a batter. Beat until smooth and let rise until double.
    Add baking powder, baking soda, salt and enough flour to make dough.
    Knead a few minutes. Roll out.
    Cut enough for meal.
    Let rise until double.
    Store remainder covered in refrigerator.
    Use as needed.
