Pepper Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. round steak, fat trimmed
1/2 c. soy sauce
1 clove garlic
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/4 c. oil
1 c. green onion, thinly sliced
1 c. red or green pepper
2 stalks celery
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. water
2 tomatoes, cut in wedges
Preparation

Cut beef in strips and then in bite-size pieces.
Brown meat. Add soy sauce, garlic and ginger.
Cook until meat is tender, about 30 to 40 minutes.
Add vegetables except tomatoes.
Cook 10 minutes.
Add cornstarch and water.
Cook until thickened.
Add tomatoes and heat through.
Serve over cooked rice.
