Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    6 eggs yolks
    3 c. flour (plain)
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    6 egg whites
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Sift together baking powder, salt and flour.
    Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
    Beat egg whites; fold into batter.
    Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/4 hours or until done.
