Ingredients

2 c. milk
1/2 c. white sugar
3 eggs, separated
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. vanilla or 1/4 tsp. almond extract
pinch of salt
Preparation

Scald milk.
Beat egg yolks and add sugar, salt and cornstarch which has been made into a smooth paste by adding a little milk. Add this mixture to the scalded milk.
Cook until thick.
When cool, add flavoring.
Serve with topping.
