Tamale Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow cornmeal
    3/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. boiling water
    1 onion, finely chopped
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 (11 oz.) can condensed tomato soup
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. whole kernel corn
Preparation
    Stir cornmeal and salt into boiling water.
    Cook stirring constantly until thick.
    Continue cooking over very low heat 5 more minutes, stirring continually.
    Spread 2/3 of the cooked cornmeal on bottom and sides of a deep baking dish.
    Mix together remaining ingredients and pour into dish.
    Spread remaining cornmeal over the top of the mixture.
    Bake in a moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 1 1/2 hours.
