Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. caramels (14 oz.)
    3/4 c. margarine
    1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
    2 c. milk chocolate chips
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1 c. walnuts
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In small saucepan, combine caramels, milk and butter; cook over low heat until caramels are melted, stirring often.
    Prepare cake mix according to directions; spoon half batter into greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan; bake 15 minutes. Take from oven and pour melted caramel mixture over top.
    Sprinkle with chips and walnuts.
    Spoon remaining batter over all and bake for 30 minutes longer.
    Let cool completely, then cut into bars. Tastes great topped with ice cream.
