Chili(Serves 8) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 garlic cloves, minced
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
4 lb. lean hamburger
6 large onions
4 large green peppers
3 (1 lb.) cans tomatoes
1/4 c. chili powder
3 (1 lb.) cans red kidney beans, drained
1 tsp. white vinegar
3 dashes cayenne powder
2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
3 whole cloves
1 bay leaf
salt and pepper
Preparation

Cook garlic in oil until golden.
Crumble meat in pieces and cook for 10 minutes.
Pour off some of the oil and drippings into another skillet and cook sliced onions and green peppers until tender. Add to meat with tomatoes, kidney beans, tomato paste, chili powder, vinegar, cayenne powder, cloves, bay leaf, salt and pepper.
Cover and cook over low heat for 1 hour.
If too dry, add additional tomatoes.
If too much liquid, uncover and simmer longer.
