Green Bean-Bacon Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. green beans (fresh)
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    1/4 c. mayonnaise
    4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
    1/2 c. (2 oz.) Cheddar cheese, shredded
    1/2 c. buttery cracker crumbs
Preparation
    Cook green beans in boiling, salted water, approximately 25 to 30 minutes; drain.
    Saute onion in butter until tender.
    Add flour, salt and sugar, stirring well.
    Add milk, stirring constantly, until thickened.
    Stir in mayonnaise, green beans and bacon.
