Pickle Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 heads (medium) cabbage
    12 onions
    8 medium carrots
    8 red or green peppers (4 large)
    1/2 c. salt
    3 pt. vinegar
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    6 c. sugar
    1 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Grind the first 4 ingredients.
    Add the salt.
    Let stand 2 hours.
    Drain real dry.
    Add the remaining ingredients.
    Let stand 1 week (or) bring to a boil and seal.
    Good on hot dogs or with beans, fried potatoes and corn bread.
