Boiled Custard - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 gal. milk
16 egg yolks
3 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation

Pour
milk
into a large container.
Set this container in a pan
of
water
to\tmake
a double boiler.\tHeat milk to lukewarm. Beat
egg yolks well; add sugar and stir.\tAdd some of the
warm milk to egg mixture and mix well.
Pour into the milk.
Stir constantly\tuntil
mixture\tcoats a spoon.\tCool. Add vanilla.
