Linguine With White Clam Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 or 2 cloves garlic, minced or crushed
    1 small onion, finely chopped
    2 cans minced clams (6 oz. each, do not drain)
    1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1/2 tsp. each: salt and pepper
    1 lb. linguine
    1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Melt butter in large skillet; add garlic and cook 2 minutes. Add onion and cook until soft.
    Add clams, juice, red pepper, oregano, salt and pepper.
    Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, cook 1 pound linguine in large pot of boiling salted water.
    Drain, when done, and place linguine in a large serving dish.
    Pour hot sauce over linguine.
    Sprinkle with cheese (and parsley, if desired) and serve immediately.
