Sandies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1/3 c. granulated sugar
    2 tsp. water
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; add water and vanilla.
    Mix well. Blend in flour and nuts.
    Roll into balls or shape into fingers. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 325\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Remove from the pan and cool slightly.
    Roll each cookie in confectioners sugar.
