Chaiwalla'S Famous Tomato Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
about 2/3 c. milk
ripe tomatoes, peeled and sliced
1 1/2 c. grated sharp Cheddar
1/3 c. mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. torn basil leaves
1 Tbsp. chopped chives
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
To make biscuit dough, place flour, salt and baking powder in bowl and cut in butter until mixture becomes coarse.
Add enough milk to make dough medium soft.
Place about half of dough onto floured board and roll to fit 9-inch pie pan. Cover dough with tomato slices; sprinkle chives and basil over tomatoes.
Top with half of the cheese and coat with mayonnaise. Add remaining cheese.
Roll remaining dough thinly to fit over top of the pie and pinch cloves.
Bake until brown on top, about 20 minutes.
Makes six servings.
