Minty Grape Cooler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 C. sugar
    1/2 C. water
    1 C. fresh or 1/3 C. dried mint leaves
    1 C. lemon juice
    2 C. grape juice
    12 oz. ginger ale
Preparation
    Cook combined sugar and water for 5 minutes.
    Cool slightly and pour over mint leaves.
    Add lemon juice.
    Cover and steep 1 hour. Strain.
    Add grape juice.
    Just before serving add chilled ginger ale.
    Garnish with mint sprigs and serve over ice.
    Makes 2 quarts.
