Venison With Mushrooms A La Moldavia - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 lb. leg of venison
    4 onions, chopped
    2 c. white wine
    nutmeg and thyme
    2 cloves garlic, sliced
    20 peppercorns
    3 carrots, sliced
    2 turnips, sliced
    1 c. parsley, minced
    10 bacon slices, diced
    salt
    1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
Preparation
    Marinate the venison in a marinade prepared by cooking onions in white wine, garlic, peppercorns, nutmeg and thyme to taste. When cooled, add the venison and let stand 24 hours.
