Strawberry Pretzel Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. and 2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 sticks margarine
    1 large pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jell-O
    1 1/2 c. crushed pretzels
    1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries, thawed
Preparation
    Cream 2 tablespoons sugar and margarine; add crushed pretzels. Mix well, then press into 9 x 14-inch Pyrex pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Cool completely.
    Combine cream cheese and 1 cup sugar until smooth; fold in Cool Whip.
    Spread over pretzel crust.
    Chill.
    Dissolve Jell-O in 2 cups boiling water.
    Add 1/2 cup cold water.
    Stir in strawberries.
    Chill until partially set. Spread over cream cheese.
    Chill until firm.
    Serves 20 to 24.
