Gram'S White Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. Great Northern beans, soaked overnight
    6 c. chicken broth
    2 cloves minced garlic
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1 (4 oz.) can green chilies
    1 tsp. ground cumin
    1/4 tsp. ground cloves
    1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
    4 c. cooked and diced chicken breasts
    3 c. grated Monterey Jack cheese
Preparation
    Combine beans (drained), chicken broth, 1/2 of the onions and garlic in large pot and bring to a boil.
    Simmer until beans are very soft.
    Add more broth if necessary. Saute remaining onions in oil until tender. Add chilies and seasonings; mix thoroughly. Add to bean mixture. Add chicken and simmer 1 hour.
    Serve with cheese and cornbread or chips.
