Date Nut Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
2 eggs
1 c. chopped dates (8 oz. box)
1 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. almond
nutmeg to taste
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add seasonings.
Use part of flour to coat nuts and dates.
Add rest of flour to mix, continue beating well. Add fruit and nuts.
Mix well.
Bake in wax paper lined pan (7 1/2 x 11 1/2-inches) for 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
