Nanny'S Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. Brer Rabbit molasses
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 Tbsp. ginger
    1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs.
    Beat well; add molasses.
    Add dry ingredients alternately with milk.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
