Nine-Layer Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 head lettuce (6 c.)
1 c. celery, chopped
1 c. green pepper, chopped
1 c. onion, chopped
1 c. frozen peas (run under hot water to thaw)
1 1/2 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing
2 1/2 T. sugar
2 c. cheddar cheese, shredded
3 hard-boiled eggs
1/2 lb. bacon, fried and crumbled
Preparation

In a large bowl, break up lettuce. Then layer the celery, pepper, onion and peas. Slice the hard-boiled eggs on top. Mix the sugar with the mayonnaise or salad dressing and spread over top of the eggs. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese and bacon on the top of the dressing. Cover.
