Transylvania Sour Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. string beans
2 slices bacon
2 Tbsp. flour
2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
1 c. liquid (from beans)
2 Tbsp. vinegar
1 Tbsp. sugar
salt and pepper
Preparation

Cook beans in salted water until tender. Drain and save 1 cup of the liquid. Fry bacon until crisp. Break into coarse pieces and add to beans. Brown the flour in bacon drippings. Add slowly the liquid from the beans, also the vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper, stirring constantly, until smooth. Add beans and simmer a few minutes.
Serve with roast.
