Scalloped Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. canned tomatoes
    2 c. bread crumbs, crumbled
    1 bay leaf
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 to 3 Tbsp. fat
    2 tsp. dry mustard
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped celery (optional)
    1/4 c. chopped pepper (optional)
Preparation
    Cook onion, celery and pepper (if used) in fat.
    Break up tomatoes and crumble in bread.
    Add bay leaf, sugar, salt and dry mustard.
    Pour into 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Top with small amount of bread crumbs.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
    Serves 8.
