Ingredients

12 small beets, cut in cubes
1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. vinegar
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation

Mix sugar and cornstarch.
Add vinegar, water and butter. Pour over beets and simmer slowly for 30 to 40 minutes.
