Candied Yams - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 or 5 sweet potatoes
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1 to 1 1/2 c. sugar
1 stick oleo
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
-
Wash
and pare potatoes; cut in wedges.
Place in a heavy pot with the remaining items and cook on high until potatoes are done (tender).
Watch carefully, the sugar will scorch easily.
