Waldorf Astoria Red Chocolate Cake(Red Velvet Cake) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter (no substitute)
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 heaping tsp. cocoa
    2 1/2 c. cake flour
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 (1/2 oz. size) bottles red food coloring
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cream the butter, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time. Mix well. Make a thin paste of the cocoa and food coloring. Add to creamed mixture. Sift flour and salt together. Add flour mixture and buttermilk to creamed mixture, one tablespoon at a time, beginning and ending with flour.
    Mix soda and vinegar. Blend into mixture last.
    Grease and flour three 8-inch pans.
    Bake in preheated oven at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes. Remove and cool.
