Italian Meat Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. chopped onion
1 lb. ground beef
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (1 lb. 14 oz.) can tomatoes
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1/4 c. snipped parsley
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. monosodium glutamate
1 1/2 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. thyme
1 bay leaf
Preparation

In Dutch oven, combine onion, meat and garlic; cook until meat is browned and onion is tender.
Skim off excess fat; add remaining ingredients and 2 cups water.
Simmer, uncovered, 3 hours or until sauce is thick; stir occasionally.
Remove bay leaf.
Serve over hot spaghetti.
Pass the Parmesan cheese.
