Goulash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. macaroni or thin spaghetti
    1 large (2 medium sized) onions
    4 Tbsp. bacon fryings
    1 1/2 lb. hamburger
    1 pt. tomato juice
    2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 (No. 2) can green peas
    1 c. finely chopped peanuts
    1/3 c. celery, chopped
    2 c. rice, cooked
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. flour
    3/4 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Drain peas, reserving liquid for cocktails or soup.
    Mix together peas, peanuts, celery, rice and salt in bowl.
    Melt butter or margarine in small saucepan; add flour.
    Stir well until blended, then add milk gradually and cook until thick and smooth, stirring constantly.
    Pour into rice mixture and mix thoroughly. Turn into greased medium-sized baking dish; press firmly with spoon.
    Bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
    Let stand 5 to 10 minutes before unmolding on platter.
    Serve hot or cold with chili sauce or meat relish.
    If served cold, loaf may be garnished with sliced, hard-cooked egg and watercress salad.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
