Mexican Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, chopped medium fine
    1 onion, chopped
    2 ribs celery, chopped
    2 carrots, grated
    2 tomatoes, chopped
    1 c. grated cheese
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    5 Tbsp. sugar
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 small pkg. nacho chips, crushed
    Catalina dressing
    1 lb. ground beef, sauteed, drained and cooled (optional)
Preparation
    Mix first 9 ingredients.
    Add crushed nacho chips and sprinkle with Catalina dressing.
    Serves 6 to 8.
