Old South Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 c. shortening (Crisco)
    1 1/2 tsp. almond flavor
    9 eggs
Preparation
    Cream first 3 ingredients; add eggs and flavoring and beat 1 1/2 minutes.
    Spoon into heavy Bundt pan which has been greased and floured.
    (This is a very thick batter.)
    Bake 1 1/2 hours at 300\u00b0.
