Orange Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. sugar
5 tsp. cornstarch
dash of salt
2/3 c. milk
1 egg yolk, slightly beaten
1 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. grated orange peel
4 tsp. orange juice
1 baked pie shell
Preparation

In a large saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch and salt; gradually add milk.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Cook 2 additional minutes.
Blend a small amount of hot mixture into egg yolk; return all to pan.
Cook 1 minute (do not boil).
Remove from heat.
Add butter, orange peel and juice.
Pour into pie shell.
Cover top with meringue.
