Sauerkraut A La Hofbrau - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. can sauerkraut
    1 c. beer
    1 medium onion, finely grated
    1/2 peeled potato, finely grated
    1/4 peeled apple, finely grated
    4 to 6 whole peppercorns
    1 bay leaf
    6 smoked pork chops
Preparation
    Wash the sauerkraut first with cold water and drain well.
    Cook with the other ingredients, simmering for several hours, longer the better.
