White Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    1 lb. sifted powdered sugar
    11 egg whites, beaten stiff
    1/2 c. sweet milk
    3/4 lb. sifted flour, warmed
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. lemon
Preparation
    Weigh flour and sift it once, then warm it a little and sift 4 or 5
    times with baking powder.
    Cream butter; add some of flour and
    other\tingredients alternately.
    Bake in loaf or layers.
    If baked in
    loaf,
    bake about 2 hours at 300\u00b0.
    This is an old recipe but very good.
    I use an angel food pan.
