Edwina'S Hushpuppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. corn meal
1 c. complete pancake mix
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 egg
1 medium onion, chopped
1 c. buttermilk (more or less)

Preparation

Mix all ingredients together and add just enough buttermilk to form a stiff batter.
Drop by small spoonfuls into hot oil until golden brown.
