Green Tomato Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    24 medium green tomatoes
    12 medium onions
    1 cabbage head
    6 bell peppers
    12 hot red peppers
    1/2 c. plain salt
    1 cucumber, peeled
    6 cups sugar
    6 c. 5% vinegar
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    2 Tbsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Chop vegetables; place in large container.
    Add salt and let stand 24 hours.
    Drain in colander and wash.
    Heat sugar, vinegar, mustard seed and turmeric to a boil; pour over vegetables and simmer for 10 minutes.
    Dip into hot jars and seal.
