Christmas Stolen - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 1/2 to 6 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/4 tsp. salt
    2 pkg. yeast
    3/4 c. milk
    1/2 c. water
    2/3 c. margarine
    3 eggs
    3/4 c. blanched almonds
    3/4 c. mixed candied fruits
    1/3 c. golden raisins
    confectioners sugar
Preparation
    In a large bowl, mix 2 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast. Combine milk, water and margarine in a saucepan.
    Heat over low heat until warm (margarine doesn't need to melt).
    Gradually add liquids to dry ingredients and beat 2 minutes at medium speed and 2 minutes on high speed.
    Stir in enough additional flour to make a soft dough. Turn onto lightly floured board; knead until smooth and elastic, 8 to 10 minutes.
    Place in greased bowl, turning to grease top.
    Cover and let rise in a warm place, free from drafts, until double in bulk, about 1 1/2 hours.
