Creamed Ham - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 Tbsp. butter
    2 to 3 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1 small can peas
    2 c. cooked ham
Preparation
    Melt butter in saucepan or skillet.
    Blend in flour and salt. Let bubble together.
    Take off heat.
    Add milk all at once.
    Cook over low to medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add ham, peas, pepper and salt to taste.
    Cook until meat and peas are hot.
    For thinner sauce, add more milk.
    For thicker sauce, use less milk.
    Serve over toast.
    Makes 4 servings.
