Onion Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 medium Vidalia onions, sliced
2 Tbsp. margarine
3/4 c. milk
salt and pepper
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 (9-inch) pie shell
Preparation

Saute onions in margarine over medium heat until tender, but not brown, about 10 to 15 minutes.
In bowl, beat eggs with milk, salt and pepper to taste.
Spread onions in pie shell; add Cheddar cheese evenly over top.
Pour egg mixture over all and sprinkle with paprika.
Bake in 425\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes.
Lower oven to 300\u00b0 and bake 15 minutes more or until inserted knife blade is clean.
Let cool before serving.
