Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
water (enough to make 1 c. when mixed with milk)
1 1/2 c. butter
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 small can evaporated milk
1/4 tsp. salt
5 large eggs
3 c. flour
Preparation

Cream the shortening, sugar and salt.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Add flour and milk alternately, ending with flour.
Fold in flavoring by hand.
Bake in a greased tube pan for 1 hour and 45 minutes at 325\u00b0.
Start cake in a cold oven.
Don't open the door while cooking.
