Ma Elsie Gue'S Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    2 c. sugar
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    dash of nutmeg
    2 tsp. soda
    2 c. thick applesauce
    1 lb. raisins
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Sift together dry ingredients.
    Add to creamed mixture.
    Add applesauce and raisins.
    Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350\u00b0 in 2 greased loaf pans, placeed on rack close to bottom of oven.
    Turn onto wire rack to cool after 2 minutes out of the oven.
    Store in closed container with a piece of apple to keep moist.
