Jack'S Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c yellow corn meal
1 c white flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 onion, chopped
1 egg
1 c milk
1/2 c water
3 T bacon drippings

Preparation

Mix corn meal, flour, salt, baking powder, onion, egg, milk, water and bacon drippings together and drop by teaspoonsful into hot deep fat.
Cook until golden.
