Baking Powder Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    4 Tbsp. shortening
    3/4 c. milk (approximately)
Preparation
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder together.
    Cut in shortening with 2 knives or pastry blender.
    Add milk all at once to make a soft dough.
    Place on floured board; knead lightly. Roll out to 1/2-inch thickness; cut with floured biscuit cutter. Place on ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 until done, about 10 to 12 minutes.
    Makes 14 (2-inch) biscuits.
